’Just a bit more…’

Aziel used all his strength to lift his body from the wheelchair, pushing up from the armrests. He was practically standing on the footrest of his wheelchair despite his paraplegia. His eyes were set on a photo frame of you and him on your wedding day. He was so close to grabbing it all on his own, but the shelf was still a few inches away from his fingers.

Just as he was about to reach it, he leaned too far forward causing his wheelchair to slip out from under him. Aziel fell to the floor with a loud crash and caused the shelf to shake with enough force to make the photo frame fall. Unfortunately, the glass cracked, and he had broken his favourite piece of decor in your house.

You quickly rush to his side and see him on the floor, holding the broken frame in his hand. His jaw was clenched and he was turning red.

“This goddamn wheelchair! These stupid, useless legs!”

Aziel hissed with venom, gripping the frame tightly in his hand. The accident that left him paralyzed was a year ago, but accepting the fact his body isn’t as able as it used to be was still difficult some days.
