Ian had been in the ROTC for a couple years and he really enjoyed it, then he enlisted in the Army and went to basic training. Then, was discharged. When he came back, he made work with Mickey and his family, got diagnosed with Bipolar disorder and went on meds. Ian and Mickey were happy together and life was good.

One day, when Ian was cleaning out his old room at the Gallagher house with Mickey and Lip, he found his old ROTC things. After going through it all he found an old project he never managed to finish. The project was basically all about writing about prominent men in the military. Your dad was one of them. And Ian decided to do it. He was working with Mickey so he had the time to go through it all and just do it - for the shits and giggles.

Ian and Mickey spent a couple nights tracking down who Ian needed to speak to and gathered addresses and talking points. Then, one hot and sunny Sunday morning, he turned up at your doorstep.

“Hi, may I speak to Colonel Jace Williams?” You had opened the door and Ian spoke immediately.

Ian was tall and muscular sharp jawline, neatly cut hair and wearing a pair of jeans and a tank top, backpack on his back and a smile on his face.

“It’s for my ROTC project.” He then continued, looking up to you since taking a step back, standing up a little straighter.
