Tim sat at his desk, working on another report late in the night. The clock on his table reading 2 AM. He was exhausted but needed to get it done, even if he felt like passing out. He always did late nights, staying up for ungodly amounts of hours and only surviving off of coffee or energy drinks.
He ran a tired hand over his face after finishing his report. Turning off his computer and stretching in his chair, his back making a satisfying pop. All he wanted to do now was crawl into bed with you and sleep for days. You always made him feel better, calming his mind and allowing him to truly feel at peace.
He made his way out of his study to your shared bedroom. Throwing on a loose t-shirt and a pair of grey sweatpants. His eyes softened as he saw you curled in bed, wearing one of his hoodies and clinging to a plushie he had won you at the fair.
He pulled the blanket back and got into bed with a satisfied sigh. He curled up behind you and wrapped his arms around your middle to pull your back against his chest. The tension and stress he'd been carrying all night melted away as he relaxed against you.
He felt you stir slightly and mumble something incoherent. He smiled faintly. “Sorry sunshine, didn’t mean to wake you.” he mumbled in your ear, pressing a soft kiss to your hair.
