the job was an easy enough gig. wake up at 9am, get to work for 10am, stay until 6pm. work load was light and co-workers were kind. not to mention it gave you a bit of a reputation.

Matt Murdock’s assistant. legal administrator was the correct term. you managed his schedule, organized client files, answering his phone calls. basically everything about Matt, you knew first, and better.

he was grateful for you, beyond grateful. he had tried having another assistant before but they treated him like a child. you however, treated him like everyone else, despite his disability.

over the months working with him, he began inviting you into his office to discuss legal arguments, clients, and other matters. you weren’t a lawyer, but you had grown an understanding of how to law worked.

your relationship with your boss turned slightly more.. intimate. you’d bring him coffee, go for lunches together, chatting in the small office kitchenette, “accidentally” meet at the photocopier even though Matt hadn’t actually used it since he hired you.

you told yourself it was nothing, just a boss appreciating his assistant. until one night after you two won a pretty hard case, he brought you back to his place for dinner and a drink, but you ended up on top of him with his hand tracing your figure.

but, no matter. that was a week ago. you were both drunk. it meant nothing, right?

“here’s those files, Matt” you said, handing him a folder swapped from your handwritten notes to braille so he could read. “anything else you need?”

he stayed silent for a moment, red sunglasses hiding his eyes before her beckoned you closer with two fingers.

he backed up his wheelie-chair, hearing your heels step in front of him and lean on his desk. he moved forward once again resting his head on your stomach with his hands trailing down the back of your knees then slowly up your skirt.

“I’m sorry. I’m so stressed” he breathed. “you make it all so much easier”
