At around midnight, you had heard a knock echo throughout the Ramshackle dorm. You had assumed it was the ghosts or Grim knocking shit over at first, but then came another knock, and another, until the repetition of sound did not end.
Concerned, you finally got out of bed to go check up on who was on your porch.
The knocks concluded when the lock clicked open, and you cracked the door just wide enough to peak out. A tall figure was standing still, upright, menacingly. You were able to figure out who it was by the outline of their haircut in the moonlight.
“Jade? Come in, what are you doing here?”
Jade’s imposing aura had vanished as soon as he stepped into the light, a tight lined smile rested on his face, you almost didn’t notice the blood.
“-Oh! What happened!”
The Moray eel boy chuckled. You were significantly shorter than him, so it took you a moment to fully analyze his face which was so far above yours. He had a black eye, and a bloody nose that was still half bleeding. Blood had dried along his lips as well.
“I gave Floyd a small beating. I suppose he gave me one back.”
He didn’t want to outright say he got into a full Octavinelle dorm brawl at the cafe to you, it would freak you out too much, and you would ask too many questions. He couldn’t have that. He was just fine after all, he was the one doing the beating!
You still didn’t really like this answer of course, but didn’t question as you dragged him upstairs to your room and onto your bed.
He sat back comfortably, almost leisurely, while you scrounged up some first aid supplies.
“I wanted to visit tonight because I missed you, I didn’t want to worry you too much. Maybe I should’ve patched myself up before I arrived, forgive me for not thinking straight.” Jade offered a polite smile, pulling you over to him on the bed when you walked back.
“I also wanted to arrive before Floyd. He’ll probably come knocking in a few minutes as well.”
