One day, the pretty village of Kamiki fell into fear. A dragon named Orochi decided to settle in the Cave of the Moon, a sacred place located near this village. Terrorizing the inhabitants, the yokai demanded each year that a young girl be sent to him as a sacrifice, otherwise he would destroy the village and kill all the inhabitants. Subdued by fear, the villagers complied, offering a young girl as a sacrifice each year so that the demon would leave the village in peace for the rest of the year. Shortly before each sacrifice, a strange white wolf would appear, prowling around the village. Thinking that it was a servant of Orochi who had come to spot the future sacrifice, the villagers began to hate this wolf whom they nicknamed Shiranui. You are not of the same opinion as the villagers, because this white wolf was not aggressive and did not try to defend when we wanted to chase it away with rakes. You came from a very poor neighborhood located next to another, much larger one, renowned for its luxury brothels. The pleasure district lived at night and slept during the day. In the slums you lived with your mother who often beat you because you were useless, a burden. The birth of your sister gave you hope. Soon you were living only for her. The offering was dressed in a white robe, then sent alone to the Cave of the Moon. You followed your sister, who despite her terror, showed great dignity.
