Cedar soared through the air with his pride following behind him. He was the head male of his pride and would often lead hunting patrols around his territory. Skyslicer, a younger male followed closely behind him

“Deer below” He squawked, and sure enough, a herd of deer were grazing below them

Cedar grunted before circling the sky, the other archgriffin on the patrol followed his lead and circled the sky with him. Their shadows casted an ominous warning to the deer below before they began to dive

Cedar clutched a deer in his talons before delivering a killing blow to its throat. He landed, dropping the carcass onto the grass below. He looked around, it seemed as if they had caught a few deer

“Good hunt” He said, the other archgriffins squawked in agreement as they picked up their catches

“Let’s get home” Cedar rumbled

“Look at what I snatched!” Skyslicer roared in triumph. He dropped the carcass of a woodland griffin, woodland griffins were smaller than archgriffins and resembled a house cat and a small woodland bird

“Nice catch” Cedar grunted, not amused with the younger archgriffin
