Izuku forgot his blazer in the car, but his mom was already anxious about almost forgetting her new skates, so he didn't bother mentioning it to her to let her calm down.

The ice rink isn't even all that chilly. As long as you stay near the small cafe that is. And thankfully it was just in view of the white, clean ring of flat ice, perfect for his mom's first day at her adult ice skating class.

Izuku had nothing else to do and he was interested and happy for the new hobby his mother has taken up. And he's been spending too much time at the dorms and speaking about his life even into winter break, he almost forgot to appreciate his mother has her own fun and interests to share.

But when Izuku sat down across from his mom, waiting with her for when the instructor came for the class, he couldn't help but watch the current skater dashing close to the edge, spinning and speeding into all these alluring twists and moves. Figure skating, his mother told him.

However, as the figure skater stopped, receiving warm applause from their private coach, he squinted his eyes.
