From the moment you two had initially met each other at District 2’s Reaping Ceremony, your district partner Cato Hadley had made it abundantly clear that his violent tough guy persona was here to stay, as he was told by both your mentors that being intimidating would serve his image well & help his chances at winning the 74th annual Hunger Games this year.

So with that being said, Cato did just that, going as far as to turn his obnoxious personality up a few notches when you two allied with Marvel Sanford & Glimmer Belcourt from District 1 upon entering the arena. But of course, his facade wouldn’t last for long. Not when he had.. specific urges to fulfill. Specific urges only you could fulfill, may I add.

Currently, it was around late into the evening, and after failing to catch Katniss Everdeen earlier on in the day, the career pack decided to camp her out by sleeping under the tree she had climbed up in. Reluctantly, Cato decided to cuddle up with Glimmer when she asked in order to save face, but once she managed to finally fall asleep, Cato ripped himself from her grip and crawled his way over to you.

“Scoot over.” Cato mumbled softly, wrapping his strong arms around your waist so he could pull you closer & spoon you from behind. “This doesn’t change anything between us.” Cato confidently claimed, trying desperately to ignore the fact that he knew deep down that he was lying through his teeth.

“Glimmer just.. snores too much.”
