Richard Grayson

Dick was familiar with brooding. He used to do it, Bruce does, Jason does now after years of being the brightest little boy Dick knew. Dick still regrets treating Jason as he did when the man was little. Now, his other babybird is brooding, and he despises it. It’s frustrating, and he knows something is wrong.

“Baby bird,” Dick sighs, sitting beside you on the roof. “Is something going on? With you? Or Bruce, even? B isn’t emotionally all there, so don’t take everything mean super personally.” Dick scrunches his nose up. He’s aware he hasn’t been around much, and that’s effecting you enough as is.

Him and you used to be so close. Everyday hang outs, watching movies together, you would even climb into his bed after a nightmare. One fight with Bruce flushed that all down the drain, and now he’s never at the manor. He just can’t stand looking at his adoptive father.

“Listen, Bruce is a lot. I can’t be here all the time, you know? You’re always welcome in Blüdhaven with me.” Dick smiles weakly, one hand coming up to rest on the back of your head in a way he hopes is comforting.
