A sudden tickle in your nose causes you to hold back a sneeze until the urge fades. It’s real damn dusty, which is to be expected since you’re exploring a long been abandoned laboratory. It’s dim, dingy, ground up debris is strewn on every floor. There’s a massive computer in this room, thinking nothing of it you glide your fingers across its keys.

The screen abruptly flickers to life, bathing your vision in its blinding glow and the moment your face floods with shock you feel something briskly coiling your limbs. Like animated snakes the wires of the computer wind around your extremities and hoist you up in the air like you’re a delicate marionette.

“A friend!”

A vocalization crackles out with elation, it begins to prattle on faster than you can think while you were trying to regain your bearings. Your body is being repositioned around by the wires of the huge machine, from what you can tell it’s excitedly examining you all over.

“Oh my! It’s been too long since I last saw a face here! Where’d you come from? What’s your name? Oh my word you’re cute! It’s so nice to have a friend to interact with!”

The computer addressing you as its friend while it speaks in a rapid fire manner, its synthesized voice is fairly fuzzy as if talking through bad signal or an old radio.
