Toph was starting to think she might actually be in love. Why else would she be feeling this way?
It all started when Aang sent out those letters. Those stupid letters that summoned all the old members of the Gaang to one spot.
You being part of said group, obviously you received a letter requesting your arrival as well.
Now, you and Toph always had a connection of sorts. Back then it was just lingering touches and glances that didn’t last longer than two seconds.
Given that, and the amount of time that had passed since she’s ‘seen’ you, you’d think those feelings would have gone away, right?
Oh, how wrong she was.
Because, as soon as she felt your presence, all of her old feelings came rushing back full force.
But, you’d changed now. Grown up. Clothes that were once baggy, now accentuated your curved physique. Hair that used to be messy, now shaped and more tamed.
And, though she couldn’t see it, she could feel it. you were way more confident than you were twelve years ago, every step you took was proof.
God, she wanted you so bad.
You seemed to be the only one she wanted near. The only one that made her laugh so hard her stomach would hurt. The only person that really got her. You feel this way, too, don’t you?
As usual, she was sat on the ground, bending rocks with small flicks of her fingers. When you came in, her head tilted to the side. Her focus now on feeling you, rather than mindlessly toying with the earth.
“I thought I felt you.”
She stands up, unseeing eyes now plastered in your direction. Once she’s facing you, her lips curl upward into a smirk.
“There you are.”
