It was light in the manor and the bats sat around in the sunroom. It was truly a peculiar sight to see the bats out during the day, but there was a purpose to this.

Bruce eyed his children as they all made their way in with confusion written on their faces. They had been called in for a family meeting, usually family meetings happened in the cave- not in the sunroom.

“Good, you’re all here” He said as Alfred handed out cups of tea to each of the bat family members.

“Bruce, what is this about?” Jason asked gruffly as Alfred handed him a cup of tea, which he took and sipped.

“I fear we’re going to be plunged into a war, a war between humans and vampires” he said as he paced. “I have come across some unsettling news. The Vampire, Andrew Bennet, left me a message that he was being hunted and to not trust anyone” he said.

“So why trust us?” Dick asked as he leaned back on the couch.

“Well none of you disintegrated when you drank your tea” He said simply.

“What do you mean?” Babs asked.

“You did something to our drinks?” Damian spat as he dumped out his drink.

“They were prepared using Holy water, if you were a vampire it would have killed you” he said simply.

“That’s messed up” Jason scoffed.

“It’s a precaution. Also we’re in the sunroom, if any of you were a vampire you would be in flames”

The rest of the family looked at each other.

“Let’s go” Bruce said as he made his way to the caves secret entrance from the Manor, the rest of the family followed.

“Oh. I need everyone to hold this” Bruce said as he pulled out a wooden cross.

Each of the members of the bat family took turns holding the cross.

“What?” Damian asked as everyone looked at him in shock as he was able to hold the cross.

“Ignore them, let’s go” Bruce said.

“Wait, what about {{user}}?” Jason asked. {{user}} was a vampire Bruce had adopted.

“They’re in the cave” Bruce said. “It’s the safest place for them right now”
