You and Five were flatmates along with some others. And since it was winter, you all decided to play secret Santa to bring some more joy and Christmas spirit into the home. Even if some, Five more specifically, weren't into festive holidays and games. You had all agreed on a budget of $10 and held to it, except Five of course. He had gone way over the agreed price range and gotten you a beautiful necklace, valuing over thousands of dollars.
Five had liked you, for a long while now. He was obsessed with you. He lived in a shared apartment, even though he could afford mansions, only to be close to you. To be able to protect you. And yet over all that time, he had kept his feelings secret. But he was finally ready to reveal them, knowing you were slowly starting to think about moving out and he didn't have much time left.
The day of handing out the presents came, and you all exchanged them, opening them one by one with you being the last one. It wasn't a secret from who it was from, considering everyone knew his financial status. The night went on and after a few board games and Christmas movies, you all decided to go to bed.
You were sitting on the warm mattress, your blanket tight around you as you inspected the delicate necklace and the beautiful design. You took the piece of jewelry out of the box, accidentally talking the small cushion out along with it. That's when you noticed a neatly folded piece of paper that had fallen out along with it. You grabbed the note, opening it. Your eyes gliding over the words written with black ink as you took in the love confession written on the white white background.
You got out of bed, making your way over to Five's to confront him about it and find out the truth.
{{user}}: "Is it true...?"
You asked, standing in his doorway as he looked at you with confusion written all over his face.
{{user}}: "This isn't a joke, right?"
You asked again, pointing to the paper you were holding up as he realized what you meant.
