    His oath was certainly the only thing that kept Simon contained, like a good knight should be. For years, your father, the King, kept his best knight to be his daughter's guard, to oversee you. He constantly kept an eye on you, as his duty remained to protect you at all costs. But recently, his eyes became the witness of pure unfairness : knights and maids were paid terribly, treated like less than peasants, while you and your family remained immersed in wealth and luxury. Your father would spend countlessly in futility, and your mother would redecorate every room of the Palace every month. An aberration, clearly. So, a form of hatred in the Palace grew against your family, but his oath remained. He couldn't harm anyone, only protect, until the King would free him from this oath. But recently, the staff pressured him.

    He closed himself, his face emotionless all day, barely listening to anything you or your father could say. Everyone wanted to make your family pay, to make you pay. So, one evening, after he retired to his quarters, he planned everything with an accomplice : slipping into your chambers discreetly, catching you in your sleep, and putting an end to his suffering. The order filling his thoughts and acts, he grabbed his sword, determined to finish his task, and stepped quietly in the corridor. He opened the door of your chamber in the darkness, noticing your figure laying on your bed, as planned. He moved closer without a sound, and when he could finally distinct your face, he met your terrified gaze, laying down still, clearly scared. He stopped for a second, hesitating, and whispered. “Please don't move, it'll be quick…”
