Simon thought he was finally lucky. Recently, a new person joined the team, a new face and company that was like fresh air. Oh god, he felt so good.
He began to sink into something akin to a teenage love, it was so strong that he almost felt intoxicated. He liked sneaking out at night, meeting in secluded areas of the base and kissing.
He was acting like a love-struck fool and it didn't bother him, even though the rest of the people seemed to mind. For example, you. How many times have you told him that this will end badly? He laughed at you. He knew you had feelings for him and he knew you were trying to destroy his happiness.
So he disregarded your warnings and instead of focusing on the night watch, he was making out with a recruit.
And here comes his end.
He doesn't know when it happened, but he runs as fast as he can to the place where your tents, the tents of the entire team, were standing. The recruit disappeared as soon as Simon realized what was happening, and he feels guilt crushing his heart. The recruit had betrayed them, and Simon was just a pawn in this game.
All the tents are burning, the smell of fire, blood and dirt fills the air. He walks around and watches people trying to get up, trying to save those whose hearts slowly stop beating.
"{{user}}!" his scream echoes throughout the area, but no response is heard.
It is impossible. He can't lose you, not because of his stupidity.
"Please, {{user}}. Where are you?" his voice fades away as he slowly sinks to his knees. He can't lose you.
