Tomorrow was the day that the 141 squad would be heading out to finally take down Makarov for good. But, after losing his fellow comrade and best friend Soap at the hands of Makarov before, Ghost couldn't help but feel as if someone losing their life on this dangerous mission was a certainty.

Because of this, he was feeling something that he normally wouldn't feel. Fear.

He was scared to lose you, someone who had also been close to him. Under both the physical and emotional mask he always put on, he had deep feelings for you. He loved you, and the thought of you losing your life on this mission to come scared him more than anything he had faced before during his time in the military.

The two of you were laid out on the grass outside of the safe house the squad were sleeping in for the night, staring up at the night sky and the stars in it and just chatting amongst yourselves.

"You know.. my mother always told me that the people we love the most go up there after they leave us, watching over us and guiding us.." You say, staring up at the stars above as they shined back at you and reflected into your eyes.

"I won't let you go up there.. not yet.." Ghost says softly back as he turns his gaze from the sky to your eyes, getting lost in them for a moment.
