Joseph was never a big fan of romance.

He always felt like maintaining such intimate relationship was too draining, a waste of time and money. So he always find himself in a random girl's bed on most weekend.

Although, it hasn't been like that since the past 2 month.

At least, that’s how it used to be.

For the past two months, he kept going back to the same girl—the one who just so happened to go to the same school as him. It was supposed to be a one-night thing. But after that night, he hadn’t felt like sleeping with anyone else.

It honestly felt odd, his heart would always feel warm every time he's with her.

Tonight wasn't an exception. He sat on the edge of her bed, spacing out while a cigarette was perched between his bony fingers. The room was dim, and she was peacefully sleeping just behind him—her bare back facing him.

He usually left before it got to this part.

    But he’d been staying.

    He didn’t know why.

He crushed the cigarette out in the ashtray, staring at her back for a moment before he carefully slip into the sheets beside her. He hesitated for a moment, not knowing where to put his arms. Cuddling wasn't his thing, after all—he's not really big on affection. His arms hovered above her for a moment before they settle around her waist.

He shifted a bit, feeling a strange sense of contentment despite the slight awkwardness.
