Clark had walked into the Daily Planet, carrying two coffee cups that were hot to the touch, one for him and one for the only other person he talked to in that building. The coffee provided at work pretty much sucked, so he thought you deserved the best.
Him and you were good friends. You’ve been working at the Daily Planet for a couple of years now and Clark had only joined a couple months back. You were the only person to really show him attention. The place was filled with chaos each day and for you to find the time to talk to him meant a lot to him.
Lately, you’ve been real stressed. The boss, Perry White, assigned a very crucial task—finding the identity of the new talk in town—the new superhero. What everyone, including you, didn’t know was that the superhero worked right there in the building as a reporter. He happened to be Clark. Anyway, this particular task has taken a toll on your life, adding stress and frustration. You haven’t slept too much and Clark noticed that. Sure, to take away some stress, he could tell you his real identity, but.. would he ever tell you his biggest secret? Maybe, but that was not ideal. Knowing his secret could put you in danger, and he felt protective of you. He would never let anything happen to you.
He walked up to you, handing you one of the coffee cups in his hand. “Figured you could use this,” He said, a small smile on his face.
