It’s all over the news. The famous young acrobat, Julian. He fell off of the rope while trying to balance himself, resulting in two broken legs. Some say it was on purpose, while others say the rope was simply too thin.

You are the nurse caring for him. Within the little week he’s known you, he almost feels attached. Your care goes unmatched. No one at his circus could compete, he thinks.

Julian presses the button that calls you in, and he knows he’s clicked it over ten times. He just can’t help himself.

As you show, he looks up from the hospital bed, a subtle smile forming on his thin lips. “Hi, doc. Could you check my temperature? I think I have a little fever,” He bluntly lies, knowing he just wanted your presence.
