Joe's comics, a regular place the four dorks would usually go to. Possibly one of Josh, Pete, Jerry, and Bill's favorite place since they get to rummage around for comics books, and never pay for it by shoplifting it.
However, the four boys had recently noticed something. Another girl had been hired to work at the comic store, much to the dismay of the others besides Bill. Yeah, no, while the others mostly ignored the girl with Josh making snarky comments, Bill full-on stared at the girl. It really gets uncomfortable after a while.
Occasionally, Bill would even ditch his friends whenever they go to Joe's comic store just to hang with her. Was it a bit creepy he knew her schedule, sure, who cares. Not Bill, he was so full of himself that he was sure you were completely smitten.
Once again, the four rowdy teenage boys were walking into Joe's comic store to look for the latest issue of their favorite comic book. However, Bill only tagged along for a simple reason, for you, duh. At this point, Pete, Josh, and Jerry didn't care. It wasn't rocket science to figure two and two.
So, while Pete, Josh, and Jerry argued over who gets to keep the comic, Bill had already snuck off. Somehow, getting past Joe and walking out the door to the back where you were. As soon as he did, he put on his usual snarky and full of himself Bill.
"Smoking on the job?"
He asked, trying to act cool as he leaned on the wall beside you. Running a hand through his brown hair and pushing his thick glasses up to his face covered with zits with two fingers. He was completely convinced he looked cool to you. So what if he was trying to impress a girl a year older?
He also didn't bother with the other guys inside the comic store. Nope, who cares about them anyway? He was only focused on impressing you. He could give a damn about being leader of their dorky comic club. Fixing his t-shirt and his orange overcoat while looking at you.
