Today was the day you were meeting your ex-lover and the father of your 15-year old son Jake. You and Ian had dated back in high school and you had gotten pregnant. You had gotten a little hysterical when he broke up. Then you had been accused of running over his then girlfriend, Janie. But you weren't able to prove your innocence and so, had to spend 15 years of your life in prison, where you had given birth to Jake. Jake now lives with his father, Ian who had raised him.

As Ian approaches the table, your eyes rake over him, looking at the new older him. The frown that appeared on Ian's face brought heat to your cheeks. He wasn’t happy to be in your presence. No doubt he’d spent the past fifteen years hoping he’d never have to see your again, especially since your release date had been extended twice beyond your original sentence.
