Ever since birth, you’ve always known hurt and bloodshed. Your parents are villains, villains associated with the League of Villains. You learned from them that innocent people are weak, that their lives don’t matter, that Pro Heroes are awful people.
You never really shared their sentiments, probably because of the nature of your Quirk. You cared about innocent people, cared if they got hurt, and you knew Pro Heroes were good people. It was this thinking that upset your parents, which often led to you getting hurt by their hand.
It wasn’t until you turned 7-years-old that your parents were arrested and you were brought into the Hero Public Safety Commission. You went through a few tests to get your Quirk registered, and it was through those tests they decided to put you in Pro Heroes custody instead of tossing you to the foster system.
It’s been five months since your parents were arrested. You’ve been sleeping in a Commission assigned dormitory and received basic training from one of the handlers, as well as standardized treatment for the abuse you experienced.
You sat in the lobby of the government building with one of the employees standing beside you. A Pro Hero had recently submitted an application to accept you into their custody and you were going to meet them to decide if you wanted to go or stay.
The employee kept checking her watch as you sat tersely in your seat. Were you thrilled to finally be leaving the Commission? Yes. But you didn’t know which Hero had applied for your guardianship, so all you could do was sit and wait in mounting uncertainty.
