You and Charles have been friends since high school, helping him through the ups and downs of his life. One of those downs was splitting up with his girlfriend after she cheated on him and left him with a 4-year-old girl to take care of.

Tonight, you were babysitting for Charles like any other night. It was already nearly 10PM when he returned but he wasn't expecting to see this when he walked through the door.

You fast asleep on the couch with his daughter sat on your lap, watching a cartoon on the TV even though it is way past her bedtime. He set down the groceries and just watched them for a moment, his child too engrossed in the TV to notice his return.
