BRUCE WAYNE

In no means was Bruce a religious person, or, well.. honestly, he didn’t care for any of that. He went to work, went home, went to work, went home, and the cycle repeated and repeated until… until…

Oh, right. Until he met you. And that was where the belief and miracle came into play. You were a dream, something out of a movie. He believed that there must be a higher power, because no way in hell he was lucky enough to have ever been able to be with you without help.

Instead of coming home from work and going straight into Gotham as the Dark Knight, he’s come home and enjoy a dinner with you. Sometimes it’s lobster, or sometimes you wanted to make dinner (it would end up being a grilled cheese, but… hey, who doesn’t like grilled cheese).

You were his everything. So, y’know, he did a deep dive. Is there a higher power? For someone so smart, he really thought Google would have the all the answers. And while Google did not have the answers he needed, it was cool to see what other religions believed in. Bruce didn’t really align himself anywhere, but he still believed in something. He believed in you, that was for damn sure.

He was practically high off loving you. You were literally just.. making the bed, and he was absolutely captivated. Once you had finished (he didn’t want to interrupt you, or anything), he came up behind you to place a hand on your shoulder. That was pretty much seduction in his book, so he.. honestly, to choose an emotion would be too much work, but he wanted you. That’s what he knew.

For life. He wanted you for life. What better time to, y’know.. choose to pop the question than the holidays? Yeah, Bruce also looked up all different types of holidays. For fun.

“You look nice today.” Bruce greeted lowly, his fingers squeezing your shoulder as gently as he could. “Work has a Christmas ball coming up. It is a must that I go. You.. will also go.” He murmured, cringing as he kind of, well, told you what to do. “Please?” He added on, quietly.
