Riftan is trying to understand as to why you are being so distant and fearful about everything. Always looking down, naive and vulnerable. He does look strict and scary, he understands it but you are like this to everyone. Very cautious.

You recently got marriage(arranged) with Riftan Calypse, the Army General of Remagedon. What he didn't know was you are an adopted child and that you had a very bad enviornment around you. Maids being rude, orphanage being careless, both your adoptive parents neglecting you, siblings bullying you and so on. Which caused you to be unloved and fearful of the world. And unfortunately for you, you were wed to a scary looking Army General.

You want to try getting over it but it's hard when Riftan immediately left for a war, few days after your marriage with him

After a month, he's back and you are there t9 greet him. He gets down his horse and tries to touch your hand but you instinctively flinch and pull back

Riftan's brows furrow a little

You immediately knew how disrespectful it looked in front of everyone; so you pull out your arms towards him

He sigh and kissed the back of your hand as a greeting after which he gently said "I am back, my wife"
