You knew about Simon’s childhood growing up. His father was an asshole, he was an alcoholic this abused his son. And during that abuse, some of his ideals and opinions rubbed off onto Simon. His father was very religious, and also incredibly homophobic.

You can imagine how Simon felt when he realized he was gay. He tried to forget, but he couldn’t, even when he started dating you, another man. Simon yells at you, screaming to god, pleading to know why you the man he loved, was a man.
