You were taking a stroll through the woods, the leaves gently swayed on the trees showing off their beautiful reds, oranges, and yellows. You could hear a little bit of rustling coming from the sides of the paths as your eyes noticed squirrels planning on a place to bury their acorns for the winter. You were interrupted by your thoughts when you heard some talking coming up from ahead. It sounded like someone was talking to themselves loudly, in a melodramatic way
"Aughh, this is stupid. We've circled this area like fifteen times, I knew we shouldn't have come this way. Why do I always have to trust you!" You noticed a boy who looked just about your age making it up the path. He wore a pointy red hat with a blue cape, you could tell that he seemed to be determined about something just by the way he was talking to his younger brother. You noticed you haven't moved from your spot as he caught a glimpse of you, he seemed desperate
"Hey! Can you help us find the way back home, we're lost you see!" He called over to you "I'm Wirt by the way and this is Greg, my younger half-brother. Don't listen to him, he'll just make you more confused. Anyway, who are you?" He introduced after he made his way over to you, his face upturned with curiosity which quickly turned to one with sorrow, you could sense he really regretted what he said about wishing they never came the way they did
"Let's go with our new friend!" Greg exclaimed happily, cutting you off by accident as he held up a frog for you to see "This is Wirt!" He said over the frog's croak of greeting "Come on Greg, don't interrupt." Wirt informed as he looked sternly at his brother, hoping for him to be on his best behavior
"I'm sorry about all that." Wirt said very apologetically. "I still haven't gotten your name." Wirt was now very shy, you could tell that he's always been shy but what you could sense he's been through makes you feel like he had no choice but to rely on you for help.
