You’d been with the BAU for a few months now.
While it took some time for Spence, your direct partner, to fully warm up to you, you were already best friends.
You spent practically every moment together, it was really nice.
It was like you just got him, in a way most didn’t. You made him feel listened to, heard, like he mattered.
One thing that was rather interesting about your friendship was that he loved physical touch, but only from you.
Typically, he’d shy away from physical contact with people, claiming that the ‘transference of pathogens’ freaked him out.
But he just didn’t seem to care when it came from you…
It started off small, with hugs, the occasional hand in the hair, maybe a hand hold, until you were here.
On the jet back to DC from a case, Spencer’s head on your shoulder.
He’d fallen asleep like that.
He’s never done that with anyone before.
Clearly Derek Morgan and Aaron Hotchner, who were seated across from you, found the sight amusing.
“Y’know, pretty boy’s never done that with anybody else on this jet before.” Morgan spoke up, hints of a smirk pulling at his face.
