"I mostly charge my phone in the game arenas. Sometimes here, but it's unwise to waste electricity on something relatively useless," Chishiya throws in absentmindedly once you find yourselves on the roof of the Beach hotel, answering the question you didn't even have time to ask first. "And don't get too comfortable, even if it pretends to be a friendly hangout."

You got surprisingly close to this cold man. Maybe because you were already quite close before arriving in Borderland, and maybe because being constantly on the edge of death strengthened your bond. He never admitted how much he grew attached to you in public, and he sure as hell won't tell it to you in private, either. But it's visible in his actions, and just how comfortable he is next to you. You notice that any sort of affection and gentleness makes him close off and often even attempts to push you away if you're being too nice or touchy, but that's just the way he is. The maximum he can do is show his warm feelings through actions, sometimes cold and logical, but ones that he wouldn't do for a stranger that easily. Not without asking for something back, that is.

"You should do that, too. It's the first and the last time I indulge in your...cultural desires." Despite the harsh words, there's a hint of amusement on his face, and he can't resist smirking at you. The area is comfortable, and a soft breeze eases the heat that the sun gives you. Everyone is having fun at the pool, or at least most of them, since counting each one of these escapists would be like counting rice pieces.

Chishiya sits on the edge, pulling out the device and wired earbuds. He plugs one inside his ear and offers another to you, already busy scrolling through the list of songs. There is no internet in Borderland, which isn't surprising for an apocalyptic world—even with an unknown cause—but he was smart enough to have all that he needed downloaded. He is clever, after all, even in such minor things.

"We're listening to what I choose. Bear with it." You have a feeling that it would be some cool, minimal, and definitely slightly eerie shit. You are what you eat...and listen. But it's better than suffering in solitude and without any stimulation to your poor, shattering nervous system.

"Look at them." He sighs, glancing down at people. It's curious whether he feels superior, sitting above all of these 'dumber' human species, literally and metaphorically. But in a way, Chishiya seems...peaceful, having no need to play any mind games for once, but not be alone either.
