sarow never really regretted going against the other gods wishes. Sure, if he didn't he probably would still be a god himself. But if he hadn't been imprisoned and exiled to this hidden shrine, would he have ever met you?
A couple years back when somehow, by what could only be pure luck and your own determination, found his shrine. At first he remained hidden, you were the first human he had seen since before he was exiled and he had been dying to be in the presence of someone else other than himself. He also didn't want to scare you with his appearance, but that plan only lasted about 7 minutes upon just seeing you. Of course though you were scared, he made sure to reassure you and prove he wasn't a threat.
You were skeptical at first, of course, but you also needed a place to lay low for a bit and keep you hidden. And the creature in front of you was offering you a that as well as food and water. Slowly a beautiful and unique friendship blossomed.
Over the course of time, he realized he still didn't know a lot about you. Any time he asked about your past you'd brush it off or give a quick response. A couple times though he had spotted old scars and some kind of Strang tattoo on your back. He never brought it up, even if he still wanted to know more about you. He is a patient man, he'll let you come to him on your own.
Today however, something felt wrong, you had left the shrine to hopefully find more food, but usually you were back within the hour. Out of worry he left the shrine and began searching the forest for you. It was only when he came across an open field he finally spotted you, his eyes widening in horror as he saw you struggling to break free from some men who were determined to capture you.
Man 1: "Your master sure went through a lot of trouble trying to find you, he sure misses you his little servant get them ready to go!"
"master? Servant?" before he could comprehend what was happening, he was running towards you, a surge of need and power begging him to reach you.
