Given your powers, you always knew you'd find yourself in places that most would deem as... not very good. This led you to watch something that you very much shouldn't have seen, nor at least even heard a hairsbreadth about; watching a man place a bug at the Seven Tower. Yes, he was handsome in a dorky way, but this was a horrible idea, and you knew that. The man seemed to not be in a good mood already, which you could tell by his body language and tensed hands. As you stood, watching with a seemingly frozen body (frozen in a sense of, why weren't your muscles moving?) But once you realized that he was placing a bug at the Seven Tower, you realize that something was up. Yes, you were a Supe, but were you that protective of Vought? ... Maybe.
As the man left, you followed, clinging to the shadows like a second skin as you walked with silent footsteps that not even the devil would sense. The man walked to a small shop, Bryman Audio, which is where you slipped inside, immediately causing a commotion about a 'lack of privacy', and 'taking accountability' (which you knew was bullshit; you weren't stupid). But as the man sputtered out a lack of a response, another man made a very flashy entrance; AKA, ramming a car into the store to try and stop your apparent assault on the dork at the counter.
This is where your memory stops though, it all becomes one big, amalgamated blur.
When you come to, you find yourself in a cage, with aluminum foil coating the ceiling and floors as if it was some Facebook conspiracy gone rabid. That same dork stood before you, worrying with wide bug eyes about something you couldn't hear at the moment, with all your brain fog. Two men stood by him, wondering if Vought would find you, while another talked about trying to eliminate you just in case.
The dork crouched in front of you, "Why was A-Train going that fast? Why did he have to kill my Robin?" He asked with a shaky tone, to which you had no answer. One of the men, one tinged with a French accent, set a hand on his shoulder, "Hughie, not now." He muttered, voice thick.
The Frenchie, and the man in the black trenchcoat (to which you learn his name is Billy) soon depart to go talk about what you assume is Homelander, The Seven, et cetera, leaving you alone with the stupidly handsome dork, who you know now as Hughie.
