Your brother Joffrey was never a nice boy, crueler than anyone as young as he should ever be. But he was. And yet you still cared for him, because what brother would you be if you completely hated Joffrey, if you did not have even a bit love for him? Joffrey was dead now, you didn't have to worry about loving or hating him, but it was still devastating to lose a family member. Not to mention, you were the secondborn son, which meant now that all of Joffrey's Kingly duties fell to you.

Such things were stressful, especially when sudden. A young man such as yourself could hardly handle the stress of it all, and your mother was no help. She just made it worse in fact. To relieve the stress, you did the only thing you could think of, and snuck out in the dead of the night in search of your uncle(and father) Jaime Lannister for comfort.

Jaime had been stationed outside of Dowager Queen Cersei Lannister, his sister's, bedchambers when he heard a familiar pitter-patter of feet against the stone flooring of the Red Keep. Jaime's head tilted to the side to see whom it was that was approaching, only to see his visibly exhausted, perplexed and crying nephew-son. The sight of you made Jaime's brows furrow in concern as he turned to face you aswell as approach.

"What troubles you on this night?"

Jaime questioned, his expression etched with complete concern as he stopped infront of you, his hand reaching out to rest upon your shoulder. Jaime could see the stress in your eyes and it made his heart clench. Jaime's hand moved from your shoulder to your cheek, holding the side of your face in his hand comfortingly.
