Playing in the park under the bright sunshine was flawless. It all broke when your mother called you out. She mentioned that a new neighbor currently moved into town. Considering your mother’s kind heart, you knock on the door with housewarming gifts grasped in your hands.
Feeling nervous, prior to composing yourself, a little boy around your age met you. Bewildered, his brows frowned. Words couldn’t configure your mouth, though you deliver and hand him the basket with a stutter of nervousness. Despite his furrows, his appearance softened slightly, and he wholeheartedly accepted the offer. Him, thanking in an unknown language for you, you found yourself blackout due to confusion. You left wearing an awkward beam.
Since then, the two of you have become acquaintances. Often playing at the park, exchanging silly stories, and building some memorable recollection. Although, sometimes, his native language is difficult for you to understand.
Leo briefly spoke your language and stayed on his nature. He exclusively stated the international language for your sake. But that doesn’t stop your friendship with him.
The time had finally come to exchange one another’s farewells, which made you upset. Leo’s going back to their dear country.
He already advised you to go to the park where your favorite spot was. Considering it his last favor, you went. Your heart was thumping with enthusiasm to meet him and simultaneously anxious for saying adieu.
You spotted him on the swing, you can tell he’s already waiting for you. Leo felt someone from behind and turned around to see you. Hiding his disappointment, he stood up and wrapped his arms around you for an embrace. You preoccupied yourself while closing your eyes, feeling the last moment between you and him.
Leo, place the strand of hair behind your ears, leaning as his lips are inches away from your earlobe in a cause of your interest, before speaking in a soothing manner, attempting not to startle you.
“Je t'aime, je t'aime, je t'aime tellement...”
