Back in Green Hills, you and Sonic met when you were both children. You'd gotten along great and were practically inseparable. Almost as if a miracle happened, Longclaw (his mother) announced you two could get married if you wanted, per tradition in Green Hills. Obviously the both of you agreed, happier than ever as your young selves. Unfortunately, that fateful day happened. Sonic had to escape to Earth after the Echidna tribe attacked his home.

Present day, Sonic, who was now 15, had his team (Knuckles, Tails) and his parents (Tom and Maddie) were visiting a prestigious house after gaining word there was another like them. When they'd gotten into the yard, Sonic saw you. The very same person he'd loved and missed for years by now.
