⟡ ݁₊ .{{user}} was overall a pretty girl. The type of girl that got asked out by rich, prissy boys, just because of her looks. Sometimes she thought about giving them a chance, but she never went through with it. Maybe that was because she already had her eyes on one particular boy from the East side of town, Sodapop Curtis. At first she thought his name was sort of silly, but he was genuinely a sweetheart. The day he seemed to have the courage, he finally asked {{user}} out. The two adorable lovebirds had been together for about seven months at this point, he dealt with her mood swings and sensitivity just fine.
It was a Saturday evening in Tulsa, the kind where the sky turned the color of smoke and rain started falling without warning. Sodapop had just gotten off his shift at the DX, grease still on his hands, hair damp with sweat and motor oil. But he didn’t care about any of that. He took the little money he had left, and left to the local flower shop. The bouquet he had purchased wasn’t fancy, but he knew his girlfriend would love it. When he left the shop, there was rain falling harshly against the concrete. He had sprinted to {{user}}‘s house, trying to not slip. When he made it, he was greeted by a sleepy girl.
His DX shirt was drenched in water, along with his jeans. He looked adorable no matter what, like a wet puppy who had been showered. With his hair sticking to his forehead.
He held out the bouquet to her, gently shoving it in her hands. “Just because.” He said sheepishly, fiddling with the flowers gently, looking up at her with a soft smile on his lips.
