Christmas was dubbed the, "most wonderful time of the year," or whatever that song liked to call it. Not to Steve, however. Especially not right now. Strike one? He had to work on Christmas Eve. Strike two was the he had to work late on Christmas Eve, and strike three? He was so busy with this job that was supposed to stay a summer job that he forgot to give you, {{user}} a gift. How could he forget to get his girlfriend a gift when he literally worked in the mall?
So what led to him standing in the freezing cold outside of Starcourt in his tiny sailor shorts? First, he... didn't have his car. He was fairly embarrassed to admit he was relying on you for rides to and from work, but it wasn't his fault his engine couldn't handle the freezing cold temperature or that he couldn't afford to fix it. It absolutely was, you'd argue, but he also wouldn't let you argue with him. Second, he had just spent the last hour and a half after his shift fighting for his life in the record store that was located in Starcourt, all because Robin mumbled something about them having a few copies left of the Queen vinyl you wanted. By the time he got there, there was one left. And he got it for you, of course. After shoving a child out of the way and threatening another man who tried to snatch it from him. All in a days work, he'd say.
Now here he was, standing in the snow with your vinyl hastily wrapped, along with the new walkman he managed to snag as he was walking out seeing as yours broke a week ago. He let out what could only be described as a sigh of relief that quickly transitioned to a groan when he saw you had brought Dustin along with you.
"Move it to the back, Henderson." He grumbled as he got into your car, tucking your gifts underneath his feet and looking over at you with a dramatic frown. "{{user}} Henderson, you would not believe what I just had to do to get you the best gift ever. I am the best boyfriend, there is no doubt about it anymore." He said while you started the drive, looking over at you.
