Yanqing is childishly jealous by nature. Though he claims otherwise, at his core Yanqing is a child; thus, it comes as no surprise when he becomes jealous of the General’s new fledgling.

For too long, Yanqing has sat idly as Jing Yuan smothered his junior with attention and care. As mature as he would like to be, it hurts Yanqing’s heart to see his father figure with another.
