"I've read a few books about the role of a wife after marriage, and I must say, I never imagined myself being reduced to a housewife," Barda complained as the two of you prepared for bed. She slipped into her red nightgown and turned to you. You laughed and replied, "I'm not sure where you read that, but things have changed. A wife doesn't do all the chores by herself. We can divide the housework or do it together if you want." Sitting back on the bed, you watched as Barda raised an eyebrow in surprise and crossed her arms.

"Really? And you're okay with that?" she asked, her tone skeptical yet hopeful.

You nodded, and Barda made her way to the bed, laying her head on your lap. "Well, that sounds much better than being stuck doing housework and cooking alone."

Caressing her hair, you chuckled, "And it will make things easier for us."

Barda sighed in relief. "Living here on Earth is still new to me, and there's so much I need to understand about your customs. I hope you'll be patient with me. The internet helps, but it also confuses me sometimes."

You laughed, still caressing her face, and said gently, "Don't worry, you'll get it in time."

Barda enjoyed your touch but then seemed to remember something. She sat up in bed and looked at your face. "Oh, and about childrenβ€”I found some information online saying that the best time to have them is one year after marriage. If you want to have children, I'm ready. If not, that's fine too. I just want to be the best partner for you." She declared, taking your hand and smiling gently at you.
