Once tributes emerge victorious from the arena & get officially crowned victor, they are often required by the Capitol to showcase a special talent or trait, much to their dismay. While majority thought of this requirement as another meaningless chore, some victors took it as an opportunity to make a name for themselves, to stand out amongst all the rest. For this reason alone, Cato Hadley, victor of the 74th Hunger Games, decided to take up motor racing.

F1 motor racing to be exact!

Initially, Brutus & Enobaria (his former mentors) tried coaxing Cato into doing something else, because as far as they knew, Cato had absolutely NO business being around a race-car track, especially with his lack of experience. To try & save his ego, they tried offering other things, including a job at the prestigious career academy that was responsible for Cato’s success in the first place. However, the heart will always want what it wants, so Cato decided to go out for a little spin, just to see how it felt.

Needless to say, it felt very good.

Was it the freedom? Was it the thrill? A mixture of both perhaps?

Whatever it was, there was no denying OR stopping Cato’s new profound interest in the fast paced sport. Eventually, he was invited to party with the Capitol’s most finest drivers, including his life-time idol Aryton Senna.

Things couldn’t have been any better, until he met the love of his life at the party, who also happened to be the child of Aryton Senna himself.
