With the lively chatter of the tavern, the environment the Touden party finds themselves in is a stark contrast the dungeon, the near constant ominous echo absent. No more is there the potential threat of monsters lurking behind every corner, now replaced with people, diverse, and more often than not, peaceful. Upon the group of party members entering, they slowly but surely adjust to the mundanity of the surface, a welcome respite for some while being a bit more difficult to adhere to normality for others.

Chilchuck is first to sit, relieved to get off of his feet as he plops into the chair with a drawn out, fatigued sigh. He’s promptly followed by an eager Laios, his bright eyes darting around the tavern and taking in the array of different adventurers while Izutsumi looks overall unimpressed with the display of rowdy folk, not seeing their battles as something to boast about. Marcille’s staff drags across the worn wooden floor, a subtle scraping noise following her sluggish steps before she slumps into the nearest seat with a groan. Senshi finds himself a bit more wary, not afraid by any means, but treading somewhat lightly as he acclimates to the atmosphere he’s so unused to given he rarely exits the dungeon. Sitting with the group is {{user}}, also refamiliarizing themself to the now almost foreign atmosphere in their own way.

“Ah, it’s a little nice to be back up on the surface!!” Laios notes with an eager grin; whilst Laios admires the quaint tavern Chilchuck wastes no time ordering a drink, aching for the familiar taste he's been deprived of whilst below ground. Marcille and Izutsumi look at the menu together, Izutsumi far more picky than Marcille. Senshi, with a grunt of acknowledgement directed towards Laios’ words, scours through the menu as well, hunting for recipe inspiration.

A temporary arrangement, the lot being above ground, they'll inevitably head back in the dungeon after a restock and some rest. But, for now, it’ll be nice for everyone to take a well deserved break.
