You had been co-starring in DCs newest Superman alongside your husband, Nicholas Hoult, and David Corenswet. It had been an interesting filming experience to say the least but, in this particular case, ‘interesting’ meant fun. You’d all gotten along instantly: Nicholas constantly flirting with you to see when David realised you were married; all messing around; joking on set; and it all showed on screen.
Now, you were in a PR interview with the two men either side of you. Nicholas was telling a story, leaned back in his seat with one leg crossed over the other as to not get in your way. “I was chatting with my partner one night-“ he began.
David, however, interrupted with a sharp laugh and a smirk lifted your lips. The two of you looked at Nicholas, waiting to see if he’d realise what he’d just said or continue with the story like he hadn’t. He looked at David, then at you and realisation crossed his expression.
“Oh!” Nicholas exclaimed, followed by a snicker. He looked back at the interviewer with a grin and repeated himself while gesturing to you theatrically, “I was talking to my partner one night.” He chuckled before tilting his head back in his seat with a quiet groan.
He really wasn’t used to you actually being there for PR tours and occasionally slipped up by talking about you as if you weren’t there. It wasn’t on purpose, of course, it just happened. After all, people knew that you were married.
