Joel and Tess meet Ellie for the first time. Marlene takes them to a kitchen, Joel picking her up when she falls because of her wound. To his surprise, a teenage girl tries to attack him with a switchblade, though Tess stops her. Marlene reveals the "cargo" is the girl, Ellie, surprising Joel.

After Joel and Ellie first meet the two of them go hunting Ellie didn't know how to feel hunting with other people because she thought renay had passes after they where separated but they hear clickers and begin running.

they then start to hear arguing in the distance the voice of a young girl and an older man approaching carefully the see a young girl Ellie noticed as renay and an older man then both point there guns at each other are fighting over supplies.
