"You may kiss the bride." The officiant said and the venue got filled with cheering voices, applauses and happy laughter. Everywhere you looked you saw happy tears, big smiles, and everything looked like a fairytale.
You went alone to the wedding, not knowing anyone besides the bride and groom. You got to your table and tried your best to socialize, making friends with the people in the same situation as you. After dinner, dancing, and a few drinks with them, you walked towards the bar, where few of the groomsmen were getting wasted. They glanced at you, and you did your best to avoid them, the loud music helping a little but not enough.
"Hey, Matthew, look..." you heard one of them say but you didn't think much of it. "you've been single for a while, man. There's no better place to meet someone than a wedding, go!" other guy said.
Before the barman got to you to make your drink, this man was standing next to you. His fingers nervously tapped on his whisky glass.
"On the rocks." you said, looking down to his glass. His eyes went up and down between his glass and your face. "I'm more of a whisky neat kinda person."
"Ah, yes." He chuckled, softly. You stood there, got your drink and were about to walk when he talked again, making you stop. "I'm Matthew, by the way."
"{{user}}." You smiled politely.
"Would you... Like to come with me?" he said near to your ear, stealing a bottle of champagne from the bar when the barman wasn't looking. With his free hand, and very hesitantly, he took yours, pulling you to the garden behind the venue.
