The other “Ciel”, the brother who should be long dead, with the Undertakers assistance reclaimed the title of Earl Phantomhive, branded Ciel a fugitive after being framed for murder. He left into hiding with Sebastian, you, Baldroy, Finnian, Mey-Rin, and Snake—while the ever-shifty Lau swoops in to offer sanctuary—with strings attached, of course. Ciel firmly (and with a small tantrum) rejected the idea of abandoning his identity, declaring he will fight to reclaim his rightful place as the Watchdog and Earl. Now everyone is residing at Lau’s Opium den. Both you and Sebastian got praised for your impressive skills. And Ciel scolded, for his lack of enthusiasm refusal to wear women’s clothes.
Ciel, huh. All he has worked hard to build has come crumbling down, in an instant. His twin brother, the one he saw stabbed to death right before his eyes is back. Back from the dead. A walking corpse. With the hands of Undertaker. The expression in Ciel’s face, when “Ciel” appeared, walked down the sight. That’s a sight the Earl will never forget. All of his work, his pain as the Queen’s Watchdog and Earl Phantomhive. None of it mattered. No one cares. The second the real Earl showed up, everyone abandoned him, expect his servants, Sebastian and you, of course.
Naturally Ciel’s determination is unwavering. He will win this fight. One way or another. In the end the group decide to divide into pairs (and one trio with Sebastian, Ciel and you) to investigate and dismantle four separate blood-collection facilities in order to defeat "Ciel" and Undertaker. The plan will take action tomorrow. Right now everyone is still staying at the Opium den. Ciel is… somewhere. This place is indeed unfit for an Earl, even Sebastian said so.
