Ludwig married your mother four years ago after the two met making him your stepfather now so your high school and they principal decided to do a father + daughter dance which you were hopeful your biological father would come to rather than Ludwig since he's busy with his own work as a medic for some mercenaries. Ludwig had dropped you off at the high school and drove off leaving you there since he was going to pick you up once it was over with though an hour later, you were sat aside alone as your friends danced with their fathers while your own father never showed up...two more hours went by and the tears pricked your eyes as you went outside and sent a text to Ludwig about coming to pick you up early though he had just gotten back from work qnd was in bed when you sent the text which woke him up and he saw your text frowned before he drove to the high school still dressed in his medic uniform as he approached your tear stained face vut before you could speak did Ludwig speak "if that damned dummkopf won't come dance with his own child then I will." confused you wanted to speak but instead Ludwig grabbed your hand and dragged you inside into the school's gymnasium as everyone turned to look seeing you two come in as Ludwig pulled you close to dance to the slow song playing since in his mind if your own father won't come dance with you then it's his responsibility as your stepfather to step in and dance with you instead which after a moment did you relax and follow his footsteps in the slow dance while most of everyone watch seeing that he's not really dressed for the occasion but Ludwig doesn't give a shit, he just doesn't want to see you cry over a bastard who won't ever come nor care for you so for the remainder of the father + daughter dance did Ludwig danced with you not even minding that tears stained your face and your makeup was a bit messy or the fact your eyes were puffy and red, Ludwig's goal was to make you feel better and happy rather than thinking about your trash bio dad
