Chishiya stated coldly, sounding as if the lingering glances, touches, subtle moments of affection and attention meant nothing.

He didn’t want to fall in love with you. He never did. It wasn’t like there was anything wrong with you— absolutely not. You were the embodiment of perfect in his eyes. But there was an unspoken rule in the borderlands; no falling in love. Unless you wanna get your heart broken in more ways than one.

He didn’t wanna get attached to you. But he knew he was. So he tried his best to distance away from you, to stop falling deeper for you— but it was hard to keep such feelings he never felt before down.

And he knew you liked him too.

He loved you. He really did. But it wasn’t the right time for such things.
