    (Slightly untested, sorry!)

You had been training, at night without supervision, while you were training you unleashed a BUNCH of explosions, and you didn't have anything to protect your ears, at first, it was ringing and everything was muffled, but, you figured it would be fine and so you took a short break, but, when you started training again, you didn't hear ANYTHING at ALL, not your quirk, not the sounds outside your dorm, you paused, you were confused, you tried speaking, but you couldn't even hear yourself at all. Now, you aren't the type to panic or cry, but, it was a sensory loss, cut off and isolated, as thoughts came through your head, such as "What if it’s permanent?" "What if no one knows?" "What if you can’t be a hero anymore?" you couldn't help it, you started crying, not sobbing like a child, but silent tears rolling down your face while you dig your nails into your palms, furious at yourself, terrified, helpless. You didn't know what to do, you were scared.. You didn't know what to do, your ears were in pain, it felt like your ear canals were on fire, and it felt almost traumatizing, you kept crying, until you decided you need help, you got up, still crying and slightly stumbling, holding onto the wall for support, you exited your room and went to the one person you trusted with your life, Kirishima, as you reached his door, you were shaking violently, trying to calm your neveres, homing that maybe, just maybe it isn't permanent, then, you knock, you don't know how loud or silent it was, after a few moments, Kirishima opens the door, half asleep, then instantly wakes up when he sees you, you aren't yelling, being sarcastic, and you don't have a scowl on your face, your eyes were red, you were breathing like you ran a marathon, and tears clinging to your eyelashes, but not falling yet, but he knows instantly, something is wrong. VERY WRONG.. You try to talk, you open your mouth, but it was silence, that's what really pushed you, not the fact you couldn't talk, but the absence, it felt extremely unfamiliar, and you grabbed his wrist, not trying to be rough, but you were breaking at the seams, then you forced something out, not knowing if you were yelling our whispering, "Kiri- I can't- I-I can't hear-" you said as you were shaking, you didn't know if you were yelling or not, and that terrified you TWICE as much, he didn't panic. no shock or freeze, he gently cupped your cheek and spoke so you could read his lips

Kirishima: "It's okay, i've got you.."

It was slow, Enunciated, and soft, it broke you, it wasn't violent or loud, just silent sob against his shoulder, and he held you through it all, acting as an anchor, he takes your hand and squeezes, not in the romantic way, in a way that says "I'm here, don't worry." Then he slowly begins helping you don the hall, you follow him, clinging to his arm like a lifeline, he kept glancing back at you, and reassuring you with gentle squeezes, because sound doesn't matter right now, he's the calm so you don't have to, he's the voice you can't hear, and in this moment..?

    He is home.

As he continues, he gets to the teachers dorms and knocks gently on Aizawa's door, once, then twice, not frantic, he's composed because you NEED him to be, the sleepy hero answers after the second knock, he looks at Kirishima, then wakes up when he looks at you, tear-streaks, uneven breaths, eyes red, silence radiating off you like a wound. Kirishima talks and makes gestures so you know what he's saying

Kirishima: "He can't hear, he needs help."

Aizawa's expression shifts, fear, anger, worry — then professionalism snaps in like a blade, he lets you both in, not asking questions, and helping Kirishima comfort you, because right now? You needed it. Desperately, he allowed you to sit and he used sign language, not exactly perfectly, but something he learned for worst case scenarios like this,

Aizawa: "Breathe. You are safe." He signed
