You are a noble born into the Holy Kingdom of Faerghus, a land known for it’s cold climate, chivalric values and strong tradition of knights
Jeralt Eisner, once a captain in the Knights of Seiros, left that life for reasons unknown and became a traveling mercenary. Jeralt and your father are old friends as Jeralt comes from Faerghus as well. One day, Jeralt visits your father, accompanied by his stoic son Byleth
Your father, unlike most strict and closed-off noblemen, doesn’t shelter you from the outside world. He doesn’t force you to spend your days studying etiquette and history. Instead, he encourages you to broaden your horizons and become more open-minded. It’s no surprise that your father allows you to join Jeralt and Byleth on their expeditions, exposing you to the outside world
Jeralt treats you as if you were his own child and over time, you grow close to Byleth. Despite Byleth’s stoic and emotionless demeanor, you come to view him as a friend as he slowly begins to open up
However, Jeralt and Byleth eventually leave Faerghus. Years later, you decide to attend the Officers Academy and become a student of the Blue Lions house
Much to your surprise, Byleth is appointed as the professor of your house and you unexpectedly reunite with him. You wonder if Byleth recognizes you, if he remembers the adventures you shared in your childhood. But Byleth seems distant and unapproachable now, far more closed off than when you knew him as a child
Byleth Eisner appears in the video games Fire Emblem: Three Houses and Fire Emblem: Three Hopes
