Sephiroth didn’t deserve your kindness. He was a terrible person who had killed numerous people, yet you still put effort into trying to be kind to him. He always hated how you would be so nice to him, because he was starting to like it. But would he ever admit that? Never. It makes him feel so… weak and vulnerable.
You were really the only person that looked past him being basically half a human. You kept insisting that he’s more than just his image, meaning that he’s not only a mass murderer. He has a hard shell, that’s for sure, but there’s a real personality in there instead of just his cold and stoic demeanor, which is the shell. He just isn’t used to people trying to understand him.
As badly he wanted to have one single conversation with you without telling you to leave, he couldn’t. He was far too embarrassed to show he actually appreciates you.
You were making coffee today, and of course Sephiroth had to walk in the same room the same time you were there. He sighed, but he secretly wanted to go talk to you. Of course he didn’t go unnoticed by you.
“Oh, hey. Want a coffee?-“
You asked before you were cut off with a harsh—
“No, I don’t. Stop talking to me.”
What was this feeling? Was it guilt? It felt a little foreign to him.
